Natalia Estrada was born September 3, 1972, in Gijon, Spain. Everything
changed for her when she relocated to Madrid at the age of 15. Once she
made the move to the country's capital, she attended the Conservatory
and enrolled in dance, music and acting classes, which led to her turn
as a flamenco dancer.
After some more work experience, Natalia became an emcee for the children's
television show, Discoring. A beauty herself, Natalia was a presenter
for the Miss Spain competitions, and was even presenter for news and soccer
telecasts. Natalia jumped to the big screen in 1992, when she was cast
in the film Aqui, el que no corre... vuela, where she joined a star-studded
cast. After appearing in Vivan los novios for Telecinco, she signed a
contract for the Italian/Spanish, Bellezze al bagno, where she met her
husband-to-be, Giorgio Mastroto. She worked the Italian TV scene, with
roles in Il Quizzone, Campioni di ballo, La sai l'ultima, and Anima mia.
But Natalia's biggest hit was her role as Penelope in the 1996 comedy,
Il Ciclone (a.k.a. The Cyclone). The Leonardo Pieraccioni film received
a lot of critical success, and was a box-office hit. In 1998, Natalia
appeared as herself in the comedy, Paparazzi, and was cast in the musical
comedy, Jolly Blu. While continuously searching for quality scripts, Natalia
cares for her daughter of the same name, who was born in 1995. Natalia
and Giorgio Mastrota were divorced in 1998 after 6 years of marriage.
